Summer Beauty

Hello everyone! It's officially summer here and it's time for effortless summer makeup! Don't get me wrong, I still love going full glam, but no one wants to cake on the layers on a hot summer day. Personally, I love the look of no liner or false lashes, but emphasizing natural lashes with a lot of mascara and having a soft, shimmery eye look with gloss on the lips. Of course we can't forget to highlight--I'd say bathe in highlight if possible!

So last weekend, I got to see my beautiful friend and I was inspired to create a peachy, glowy minimal look on her. It'll be her birthday this Monday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the most beautiful women I know both inside and out. She is so caring, supportive, and genuine; I just love her to bits!

Hope you all enjoy these gorgeous pictures of the Birthday Girl! I literally shouted out "yaaaaasssssss" while capturing her beauty on film.

She likes to Mauve it Mauve it!

Helllooooooo everyone! I know it's been almost 6 months since I last posted. I really hope I can stay consistent with my blog posts. I wanted to actually do a post about my experience with the Whole30, but I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested since I normally just talk about makeup on here. I've become a cooking machine and I'm loving every chance to explore new recipes. Please let me know if anyone is interested in seeing what I've been cooking lately and following my health journey.

Back to our regular programming! Who wants to see a makeup transformation?! This was a fun, semi-dramatic look I did on my friend this past weekend. Last time I had done her makeup, she wanted it to be subtle and this time she said I could do whatever I wanted to...so I did! I made her step out of her comfort zone with the lip color for sure. I loved how the look turned out and to her surprise the look really grew on her and she even asked me what lip color it was so she can purchase it for herself! It's funny how things work, goes to show how trying something a little different can come with a lot of satisfaction! So for all my neutral lip lovers, go for a little deeper-toned neutral to ease yourself into bolder colors!

P.S.- Does anyone else see a resemblance to Kate Upton? I totally thought she did! Just absolutely STUNNING!!!
