Sparkling and Flawless

Hi everyone! I know I have been MIA lately but I will definitely try to keep up with the blog. We've been doing a lot of home improvement projects on the weekends so I haven't really had the chance to blog. I think my next blog will be a review on liquid lipsticks. I'm so obsessed with them lately and I have quite a few brands that I want to share with you all.

Now without further ado let me introduce you all to a very beautiful woman. We've been friends since freshman year of college and she was the Maid of Honor at my wedding. She is beautiful both inside and out and it's been a while since I got the chance to do her makeup. She is also a new mommy and I had such an awesome time doing her makeup this weekend. It was really nice to have her family over and hang out like old times! Now tell me, how flawless this woman looks even without makeup?!? Gorgeous both with or without makeup. Let's all empower one another and embrace our uniqueness. Makeup is fun but never a necessity. My belief is that makeup allows us to enhance what God gave us and truly feel the beauty we were blessed with. Let's have some fun with makeup!

I went with a sparkly eye look and added two shades of purple in the crease and the outer corners using ColourPop eyeshadows (which are absolutely amazing!). I didn't  even contour the way I normally do because her bone structure is impeccable! I used a light hand to apply powder contour just on the cheeks and a little bit on the forehead almost as I would use a bronzer. She wanted a subtle color for her lips so I used Lorac's Pink Taupe Matte Lipstick, which is one of my favorite every day colors. I used Makeup Forever's HD Foundation in color #170 which is amazing for photography. Speaking of which, I used the Diva Ring Light Super Nova for these photos. I'm loving the lighting! Fun and Flirty

What a busy and productive day! I wanted to post another transformation that I did from this evening.  I absolutely adore how this look turned out! This stunning lady was so fun to work with! We had such a wonderful conversation about each of our travels and all of our passions. It was so nice getting to know her on a deeper level and I look forward to spending more time with her! She gave me the go ahead to be creative and I went with it! I used the DressYourFace Tamanna Palette and even used the techniques I have been learning from DressYourFaceLive. Tamanna Roashan is one of my makeup artist idols, her work is absolutely flawless! I hope to attend one of her seminars one day.

Enough about my rambling. Enjoy these photos of this beautiful woman. When I was taking her photos, I told her, "I'm so obsessed with you right now" lol and I meant it. I couldn't stop staring at her beauty. She was so beautiful to begin with, but WOW, her features all popped once I added my touch.

Lady in Red

Smile, it's Picture Day!

Earlier today I had an amazing time doing this gorgeous woman's makeup for her engagement photoshoot. She literally has flawless skin and said she wanted "natural" makeup so I was so surprised when she told me she wanted a red lip! I was really happy that she was bold and daring to wear a red lip (she told me she never really wore a red lip before). I was incredibly proud of her to be so adventurous. After all, makeup is meant to be fun! We had exactly that, FUN!!! Congratulations to her on this beautiful journey! I know her fiancé will agree when I say he is a lucky man because she is truly beautiful inside and out!!!

Bronzed and the Beautiful

I had the pleasure of doing this beautiful woman's makeup the other night. She kept saying how she's always "plain" and hasn't worn makeup since her wedding day. Luckily, she was very open minded and allowed me to try on a more bronzy dramatic look on her. We had a laugh during the whole process. I asked her opinion on what she preferred and she said, "I trust you" and I immediately replied, "No, you don't!" and it was so hilarious because my response genuinely took her by surprise lol! I think by the end of the night she really did trust me with my choices though. She looked incredible and I told her that she better have a hot date planned for that night because she looked like a million dollars! I hope to do her makeup again and do an even more sultry look!

P.S. Normally I love using natural light but I had no choice but to use flash since it was night. Good news though, I ordered a ring light so future pictures will have better lighting!
