Wedding Swag

Hi everyone! Last Friday, I went to a wedding and it was so much fun! Great music and food and best of all, family and friends! So speaking of family, I got the opportunity to do my sister in law's makeup for the wedding. I've never done a full face of makeup on her so it was really exciting to give it a go. She was excited as well and gave me full reign of her look. Needless to say, she looked absolutely flawless!! She was stunned at her transformation and said her mother couldn't even recognize her when she sent her pictures lol! My sister in law is such a beautiful person to begin with, so I can honestly say I only enhanced her beauty! I hope we go to more weddings together because it was such a memorable experience!!

Enjoy these stunning pictures!

Product Review: Girlactik Face Glow (Natural and Bronze)

Hi everyone! It's time for a product review! Girlactik Beauty Face Glow (direct link to their website). Please note that this is a honest review. I bought the products with my own money and I am not being paid for this review. The company has no clue who I am lol!

So why am I reviewing this you may ask? Well, let me cut to the chase and tell you I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! My go to highlighter for the last three months or so has been the Bronze Glow. I initially heard Tamanna Roashan from DressYourFace talk about the Bronze Glow so I went out to the only Rite Aid that sells it in New Jersey to get my hands on them both. The face glows come in two different shades, one is called "Natural" and the other is called "Bronze." I'd say Natural would suit a lighter complexion but can work really well with the Bronze highlighter to create a custom color. I prefer the Bronze Glow on my complexion; I'd say I'm a MAC NC44. I like to put this on my cheekbones, above the arch of my eyebrows, and also on the cupid's bow. I've also tried it in the inner ducts of the eyes and as a brow highlight as well. No matter where you place it, the glow looks stunning!

I know there is a ton of different highlighters out on the market, but I'm 110% serious when I say, I reach for the Bronze Glow everyday! It suits daytime looks as well as dramatic night time looks. To be honest, when I wear makeup I prefer a glam look and this highlighter really gives me a natural but noticeable glow! I have a lot of pores, and this product does NOT accentuate my pores in my opinion. I've used the Bronze Glow on a lot of my clients too and it always suits them! You can take a look at my previous four transformations, I used the Bronze Glow on all of them, so you can see how versatile it is on different skin complexions!

How do I rate it?
  • Packaging: 8.5/10 (sleek gunmetal in color, only drawback is that it collects fingerprints)
  • Texture: 9/10 (finely milled powder, easy to apply with a brush or directly with fingertips)
  • Longevity: 9/10 (stays on throughout the day, doesn't look greasy on the skin, and looks natural)
  • Luminosity: 9.5/10 (that glow! no visible glitter, just a glow from within look)

I have taken some pictures for you all to see the swatches on my skin. I'll tell you that the swatches aren't really doing the product justice. On actual makeup application, the glow is just amazing!

Enjoy the swatches and please tell me what you guys thought of this review and if you have anymore questions or future suggestions for my blog. Thank you guys for all your support!

Bengali Beauty

This brings me to my last transformation, which was yesterday! My friend came to visit me from California and it was so much fun getting to do her makeup. She's never ever worn a full face of makeup so I sensed her fear when I told her I wanted to glam her up. She accepted the challenge and to her surprise, she completely loved the look! She even told me that the makeup didn't feel heavy. This made me feel so happy because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. She told me that she may even start doing her own makeup like this so it will be great to see how much influence I've had in her makeup journey! She's a wonderful woman and I'm proud to call her my Bengali bhandobhi (friend in Bangla)!

The way she glows!

OK, let's take a minute to reminisce all our childhood friends. How many of those friends can you still consider a dear friend? Well, this lady right here has been my friend since the 6th grade and I cannot believe how easily we pick up from where we left off last time. She is just incredible! She has seen so much of the world, yet remains so grounded. It was such an amazing day spending time with her and obviously getting to do her makeup. When we were in highschool, I would do her makeup all the time so it was great to see my progress in makeup application. The day was so much fun and I couldn't stop staring at how stunning she looked!! Enjoy the photos of this gorgeous woman!
