Classy Salutatorian

Hi! I'm back with another makeup transformation. This time for a graduation makeup look. Congratulations to the Class of 2017! Wishing you the best in all your future endeavors!

This stunner is no stranger to this blog---this is the third time I got to do her makeup. Special congratulations to her as she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class! She's just a total sweetheart---intelligent and humble! I have a lot of fun doing her makeup and it's always amazing to see how daring she is willing to be with dramatic makeup! She agreed on a BOLD lip color and I think it complimented her fair complexion perfectly! I told her she looked like Snow White with the red lips! We wanted the focus to be on the lips (Coloured Raine's liquid lipstick in "Cherry Blossom") as she delivered her graduation speech. I'm extremely proud of her for all her accomplishments and even more impressed with how down to Earth she is. Her family did an amazing job raising her! Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!

Please let me know if you would like a full product breakdown. Enjoy these gorgeous pictures!

Runway Ready Beauty

Hello everyone! Did you notice the new blog design? I'm pleased with how it looks now--- much fresher with the light color scheme!

I'm here today to show you the makeup transformation I had the pleasure of doing this weekend for a wedding guest look. Doesn't she look effortlessly polished even without any makeup on?! What a natural beauty! She told me she doesn't really wear much makeup at all so this event was a chance for her to try something new out of her comfort zone. I'm so happy that I got the chance to work with her! She's an amazing woman I must say--- she exudes confidence and compassion, such wonderful qualities to possess!

For the event, she wanted a neutral look, but gave me the freedom to tweak it a bit. I think the end result was elegant and glamorous, the perfect combination for a wedding guest! I want to thank her for allowing me to go a little bolder with her brows. I think the bolder brows really suited the look for this occasion!

Enjoy these captivating photos of this natural beauty! I just adore how her hair looks when she parts it on the side. It really compliments her amazing bone structure (just look at her chiseled jaw line)!

The Belle of Prom, Beauty and Brain

Hello there! It's been way too long since I've updated my blog, so I intend to revamp the look of it soon. I hope everyone is looking forward to summer and all the amazing fun-filled memories. I know I'm ready for the beautiful weather so I can take long walks with my family.

Now, let's focus on something super exciting! Prom 2017!!! I want to show you all the REAL LIFE Belle! She is extremely beautiful and has the intelligence to match her outer appearance. This was my second time working with her and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of these special moments in her life. She is graduating soon as the Salutatorian of her class and I'm extremely proud of her accomplishments! So when I say, she is the real life Belle, I really mean it! I'm so happy that she loved her look for her Prom! It was truly a great experience working with her and her Mother, they are absolutely lovely!

For Prom, she wanted a glittery look, so I used Urban Decay's Heavy Metal glitter liner in "Midnight Cowboy" on her lower lash line. For her lips, I used Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the color "Lolita." The deeper lip color gave her a sophisticated look and tied the whole thing together, which suited her perfectly!

Without further ado, please enjoy these transformation pictures!

Homecoming Queen

Congratulations to this beauty for winning Homecoming Queen!!! When I had told her I wanted to do her makeup, she had said it was going to be for her Homecoming Dance, and yesterday when she arrived at my house, it turned out that she found out that she won Homecoming Queen the night prior at the Homecoming game. I'm sooooo happy for her, because her personality is as beautiful as she is on the outside. She's just a sweetheart and has a good head on her shoulders. It was nostalgic to discuss highschool and think about my own highschool experience. Unfortunately, I never went to my Homecoming, but I'm so happy that I got to be a part of her special night!

We went with a charcoal blue smokey eye because her dress was sparkly black. I added silver glitter liner to her inner duct and halfway on her bottom lash line, which really made her eyes pop! She was so happy with how her look turned out. I hope she knows how beautiful she really is and felt so special celebrating the night! I can't wait to see her pictures with her full outfit and hear the stories of her special night.

Congratulations again! Enjoy this beauty queen's photos!

Eye of the Tiger

Hello lovelies! Have you looked yourself in the mirror and said "I am beautiful!" yet? If you haven't done so, please go do that right now and then come back to reading this post!

I am taking a stance against self doubt today! I woke up feeling quite lethargic and a bit emotionally unstable, but I promised myself I would do something positive to help me get out of my funk. It's so easy to be so self-critical and beat ourselves up over every little thing in our lives, but I think it's important to also celebrate our small victories...I mean, literally every small victory: 1) I got out of bed, 2) I brushed my teeth, 3) I did some body squats and vacuums, 4) I drank coffee, 5) I'm working on this blog, which is not only my passion, but my safe haven! So I hope this goes to show you all that we can always have hope and keep persevering! I will discuss my fitness journey progress soon in a post on its own.

Now on to the fun stuff!!! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do my friend's makeup for a special event. Let me tell you, we were both cracking up and time just flew by! It was one of the most enjoyable makeup sessions I've had because she is so gosh darn hilarious! She's a natural comedian and has a heart of gold! I kept staring into her eyes and I legit thought she had on contacts because they are soooooo mesmerizing! I had to title this post, "Eye of the Tiger" as her eyes are captivating and definitely represents her as the strong, determined, beautiful woman that she is!

Please take a look at my gorgeous friend's transformation and let her know it's ok to have color on the lips lol! She avoids colorful options on the lips and prefers clear lip gloss, so even a nude lipgloss was a small victory! She is naturally so beautiful so she takes a minimalistic approach to makeup, but I'm so happy that she actually loved how the look turned out! Enjoy the pictures!

Like a Boss!

Hello beauties! Hope life has been treating you well! I had the opportunity to do this beautiful woman's makeup yesterday. I loved the fact she said she loves makeup and furthermore, dramatic makeup! Now that's my kind of woman! She gave me free range of her look, but to be honest, I really didn't want to fall short of her expectations. I loved how the look turned out, the dramatic eyes really suit her! She's never contoured before so I hope I've introduced her to something she will enjoy doing on her own! I love contouring and highlighting!!! We went with nude lips to balance out the smokey brown eyes and semi dramatic lashes. Isn't her eyes just so piercing? Love it! BTW, how amazing does her brows look?! It really framed her face well and suited the dramatic eyes!

Please let me know if you want the makeup details. We didn't get to do a full photoshoot because time literally flew by, so I definitely hope I get to do her makeup again! She's gorgeous before and after and a true BOSS LADY! This is the best part of what I do---getting to meet amazing women like her!
